Bethany church in West Melbourne, FL is looking for a Youth/Young Adults/Worship Leader Resident.
Expected Work Hours: 40 hours weekly
Expected Monthly Pay: $2,500 + Housing

What are your greatest hopes and dreams for the next couple of years for your church?
For Bethany Family to continue to grow through an authentic relationship with Christ.
For our church family to continue to reach people where we live, work and play.
Why did you choose to do a residency & what are you hopeful will happen through this process?
We believe our church is a great place to make mistakes and grow into what God is calling the resident to do.
Our church culture is very authentic and welcoming which we believe is a healthy environment for a resident.
What is it like to work on staff there?
Working on staff at Bethany is a place to be real.
We believe in doing few things and doing them well.
We work together as a team and have each other’s backs to ensure that everybody is thriving and following the call that God has on their life.
We lead through humility and making sure we stay teachable from lead pastor to the janitor we must continue to be lifelong learners.

Please describe the current staff structure.
The Lead Pastor is over the staff and holds them accountable. The deacons and trustees hold the lead pastor accountable. We currently have our lead pastor and his ministry assistant and a financial secretary.
We have team leads over our various ministries: Nursery, Kids, Youth, Young Adults that our Ministry Assistant supports so they can win.
What qualities does it take to “win” on staff at your church?
To consistently do the few things you are over well.

Right now, we have a mixture of young, old and in between.

Instead of small groups currently we have monthly gatherings which are around 25 men and 25 women.
What is your church known for in the community?
Our School. We have Bethany Christian School that is from Pre-School to 12th Grade.
How much are you planning on financially compensating your resident? Is it set or is it flexible?
$2,500 monthly + housing
What are the expected work hours and what does a typical work week look like for this resident?
40 Hour Work Week
Mon – 9am-4pm
Tue – 9am – 4pm
Wed – 9am – 8pm
Thur 9am – 4pm
Friday/Saturday – Off
Sunday 7:30am-1:30pm
What else would you say to a resident considering joining your team?
Bethany is a very real place. We have been around since 1965, but the church just got done with a transition and everybody is excited for what is ahead. We have had many new members got through are starting point class and share how it feels almost like a new church plant because of the momentum that is currently happening. We work hard around here but have fun doing it while having that healthy balance.
