The following is some Q and A with their staff:

What are your greatest hopes and dreams for the next couple of years for your church?

Tree of Life strives to bring healing to broken individuals, families, and communities. We hope over the next year to multiply our Root Groups which each serve our community once a month and adopt a foster family. Through raising up more of these intentional, service oriented groups led by trained leaders/facilitators, God’s Kingdom momentum will build. We expect to create a recovery ministry as one of the ways we bring healing as well as youth ministry and disability ministry. A major component of these ministries succeeding in reaching and healing people is the equipping and empowering of leaders using their gifts to fulfill their callings.

Some tangible goals over the next year is: 1. Have 75 launch team partners 2. Launch church in September 2026 3. By launch have youth, disability, foster, and recovery ministries 4. By 2027 have 12 Root Groups 5. Give 20% of raised funds to Kingdom Partners/Missions 6. Have 75% of church active in Root Groups 7. 50% of our partners serve monthly inside or outside the church.

Why did you choose to do a residency & what are you hopeful will happen through this process?

Our hope with a residency is to support an individual who believes they are called into ministry. Ideally we’d love to identify someone gifted in music and who may desire to plant a church in the future. Then provide a grace-filled environment that permits study, growth, and maturity to take place. With intentional conversations and ministry opportunities, a resident would be able to grow into a full time role with multiple skills and experience. It’s a dream of Tree of Life Church to be able to send and support a church planter in the next 5 years and how incredible if God’s raising up a resident for just that purpose.

What is it like to work on staff there?

Tree of Life Church is a church plant with very little staff/leadership. You’ll be working in a very loving and relational environment that will make you feel part of a family more than a team. We pray for each other, have meals with each other, and do life with our community. We’re also a gracious community. We see value in differing perspectives and even theologies having a seat at the table. We unite in Christ to bear the Fruit of the Spirit despite our differences on secondary or tertiary theological topics. We want to live the prayer Jesus prayed, “Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Because of our commitment to God’s Kingdom, we know that our tasks and roles have significant Kingdom importance. We desire to give our best efforts into our Kingdom tasks knowing we’re honoring the Lord and creating an environment where people see the credibility of the Gospel. By being well prepared, yet improvisational and resourceful, we can minister in any context.
