Job Description

The following is some Q and A with their staff:

What are your greatest hopes and dreams for the next couple of years for your church?

We are seeking to host the tangible Presence of the Holy Spirit through a culture of prayer and worship.

See lives transformed through the ongoing process of learning and becoming more like Jesus and less like the culture through the power of the Holy Spirit and our active participation in that work.

We desire to make a difference in our home, community, and world as we partner with God to sacrificially share the Gospel, serve the poor, and meet the needs of others.

We are currently taking real tangible steps to walk out these three areas of action in our church, community, and beyond.

Why did you choose to do a residency & what are you hopeful will happen through this process?

I met Dillon Smith through Carey Nieuwhof’s The Art of Leadership Academy who recommended Leadership Pathway. The more we learned about it the more it sounded like exactly what we were needing in our development and training process.

What is it like to work on staff there?

We currently have a small full time staff, senior pastor and admin, along with several part time roles (associate worship director, children’s director, early childhood director, financial secretary, and custodian).

Does your church’s website state the mission, vision, values and key distinctives of your church?

Our staff consists of our Senior Pastor, full time Admin, part time Associate Worship Director, Children's Director, Early Childhood Director, Financial Secretary, Custodian and 2 elders are currently assisting in Executive/Leadership as volunteers.

What qualities does it take to “win” on staff at your church?

Our heart is to build a great team. Patrick Lencioni describes the three defining virtues of a great team player being humble, hunger, and smart. These are the characteristics we are working on developing in ourselves, our staff, and looking for in new hires.

Who will the resident report to?  Will there be a different person acting as coach?

Senior pastor and possibly another individual.

Are there particular assessment tools that you prefer when exploring potential staff people?

Not currently.

Are you affiliated with a particular denomination or tribes/association of churches? If so, what websites could one investigate to gain further understanding?

We are a non-denominational church and are partnering with Global Awakening:
